500m
  • Engine: Unity3D
  • Genre: Shooter
  • Platform: Windows, Mac, Linux
  • Year: 2014

500m is a game where you play as a falling ball. Your job is to help that little ball to achieve it's dream of not ending up as a messy puddle on the ground. You do this by landing on floating platforms. Those won't help you forever though, as they float they'll rotate away. You can not escape your eventual demise, but you can prolong it for as long as possible. So this game teaches you about how eventual happenings can not be stopped, no matter how hard you try. This makes this a strong exercise in emotional storytelling. See how long you survive and compare your times to your friends!

Hello my name is Bernd. I am an artist from Berlin. I make this game. It is good. The artstyle is amazing. And the story is beautiful. The game is a true masterpiece. Have much fun!!

Ok ok... actually this game was made for FuckThisJam as a parody of all those artsy walking simulators that came out. You go right and slowly a story unfolds. If the text is too slow you can always press the left mouse button to skip to the next piece of text.

In Death Typer you are fighting against hordes of zombies in the regular shooter fashion. Well, almost. You see, firing your gun does not simply require you to press the left mouse button, but to type the given text.

anti-smoke man
  • Engine: Game Maker
  • Genre: Platformer
  • Platform: Windows
  • Year: 2011

This one was made for a school project called "Be Smart - Don't Start". As you might have noticed it was about teaching kids that they should not start smoking. Our project was well received and event got an A-. Apparently our teacher did not believe that we actually told you why smoking is bad in this game. But Jesus Christ, the player is gunning down hordes of cigarettes, what more information do you need? ;P

The first game I finished with Game Maker. It's quite okay but I always joked with my friends that it's terrible. There might not be that much content in it but the game is still quite playable.

even more...

There are some more games on my GitHub that are unfinished or broken. Also my earliest works are sadly lost forever. I remember my very first Game Maker project was some wierd space shooter thingy with terrible controls. But my friends kinda played it a bit and (I think) enjoyed it. It had the terrible name "Superblastroids"
